Boerne Vision Center is very excited to welcome Dr. Stephanie N. Kai. She is a Therapeutic and Glaucoma Certified Optometrist serving patients in Boerne, San Antonio, and the surrounding areas. With experience at the VA (Veteran Affairs) in Arizona and California, Dr. Kai provides her expertise in dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other ocular diseases. She also provides prescription eyeglasses, including sunglasses, and contact lenses. She works with ophthalmology offices that provide LASIK, and cataract surgery.

Dr. Stephanie Kai was born and raised in Fresno, California and graduated from the University of California, Davis where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Neurobiology Physiology and Behavior. In 2010, Dr. Kai went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2014. After practicing in California for a year, Dr. Kai then moved to San Antonio in 2015 where she loves the small town feel and friendly community.
In her spare time she works at her Japanese Food Truck, “Itadakimasu Japanese Street Food.” Dr. Kai’s food truck is growing in popularity and makes appearances in the San Antonio food truck scene.
